With this exciting season full of academic beginnings and thrilling football games comes the one honor every high school girl dreams of—Homecoming queen. Officially sanctioned by the NCAA, Jeopardy! and Trivial Pursuit as the originator of homecoming, the University of Missouri is proud of their long-standing homecoming tradition. Hendrix was elected by the football team, and the tradition of the team electing the queen continued until 1952, when the student body elected the Homecoming Queen.
